Manor in Mańczyce, Lower Silesia
Pałac w Mańczycach, Mańczyce
One of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Silesia: Castle in Mańczyce (Pałac w Mańczycach)
The castle is undoubtedly one of the most interesting residences in today's Lower Silesia. The first owner and builder of a Renaissance castle in the 17th century was the von Gfug family. They were followed by the von Hochberg, Sandrecki (Sandraschütz) families and, from the beginning of the 19th century, the von Stosch family, who commissioned a large-scale reconstruction in 1887 - the formerly matter-of-fact Baroque building was transformed into a filigree palace with numerous architectural details. Particularly characteristic is the discreetly concave central section of the front; it is bordered by two corner risalites with perched towers and side wings projecting forward. The last owners until the Second World War were the von Rohr family. After 1945, a state farm (PGR) was established in Mańczyce, the chateau was first used as an administrative building and was rebuilt during this period. In the interiors, walls and ceilings were "smoothed" and the magnificent stucco decorations in the large ballroom were removed. On the other hand, the representative architecture in the entrance hall with its open oak staircase, wooden coffered ceiling, painted paneling and original mosaic floor was preserved.
Manze Castle has been privately owned for many years. As early as the 1990s, it was planned to convert it into a private residence. The renovation work begun at that time remained in an initial stage and was not continued to any significant extent.
The abandonend palace in Mańczyce is for sale in 2022.

What a beautiful castle in Poland ( Silesia )
Has the ' water supply and electric ' remained intact?
Is the property owned by ' a state owned corporation?'
Or, private land lord?
Had the adjoining land turned into ' agricultural use?'
.... tenants?
Yours sincerely, Mr Robin Martin .
