Manor in Skandławki
Dwor, Skandławki
A few kilometers from the manor house in Jegławki is a charming rural residence dating from 1844. The classical manor house in Skandławki (Skandlack) is a compact building with a one-story central section and two-story side risalites. The harmonious overall appearance is enhanced by the wonderfully secluded location in the sparsely populated Masurian countryside. Today, only a handful of people live in the village.
Skandlack was farmed by a Siegfried family for over 100 years. Like countless other estates in the region, Skandlack was nationalized after 1945. The house itself, however, remained in an original condition and still shows features from the time of its origin, including isolated stuccoes in the garden hall, historic double doors and the ornate oak staircase.
The manor house, which has been partially renovated so far, was sold from private hands in 2020.
