The castle is located near the metropolitan region of Nuremberg in Upper Franconia, in a state-recognized resort with good infrastructure.
The construction dates back to around 1559, having been rebuilt after a fire in 1559. It was raised by one floor in the second half of the 17th century and partially renovated in 1764.
A castle like this, with a contemporary layout and corresponding features, is rare. This property meets these criteria. The complete renovation was carried out by the owners in coordination with the monument protection authority, done carefully and with quality. The equipment has met high standards since the renovation. Maintenance is ongoing, and with the building now being energy-efficient, it offers a variety of uses.
Living and working areas, as well as guest and event spaces, are separated, with floor plans adapted to today's requirements. The equipment is modern and includes the necessary facilities for events.
The castle is naturally suited for representative purposes. Examples of commercial uses include seminars, a cultural or creative center, qualified services, and high-quality product sales events.
There are three spacious rock cellars.
Room distribution is as follows:
- Ground floor: 4 rooms for commercial use/events
- First floor: 2 separate apartments and a guest area with 4 rooms, 2 kitchens, and 3 bathrooms
- Second floor: 6 rooms, 1 kitchen, and 2 bathrooms
- The attic is partially developed.
Distinctive features of the property include a metal entrance gate with decorative applications, a ring wall, late medieval garden walls, and a sandstone pillar portal.
The garden is landscaped with lawns and ornamental plants and includes a private well. There is ample parking with a double garage and an additional single garage.
The quality of the location is mainly influenced by its proximity to the city center with an unobstructed view of nature. The castle is easily accessible by car and public transportation. Many shops for daily needs are available nearby.
A section of the area can be separated, with plans already in place for a modern residential complex, such as barrier-free or assisted living in the castle park.
