Józef Richter Palace in Łódź
Skorupki 10, Łódź
The Polish city of Łódź developed into an international industrial metropolis in what was then Congress Poland. Even today, numerous palaces, town houses and villas of former factory owners can be found throughout the city.
The villa of the Bohemian textile entrepreneur Józef Richter is a Neo-Renaissance building designed by Karl Seidl around 1888 with an architecturally richly decorated garden side. It now serves as the administrative building of the Rectorate of the Technical University in Łódź.
