Manors in former East Prussia: Schloss Bansen
Bęsia is located northwest of Mrągowo. The former name in East Prussia was Gut Bansen. The Baroque manor with short L-shaped side wings dates back to the early 18th century. The manor included an extensive farm complex and a landscape park. The farm buildings, which are situated with sufficient distance in front of the manor house, are partly used for agriculture.
The view from the air shows well the potential of the picturesque complex. To the south of the park you can see the lake
The whole ensemble is in big need of maintenance. In particular, the condition of the vacant manor house has deteriorated dramatically in the last ten years: it is in a ruinous state. The roof is in danger of collapsing, which is why the local monument authority got involved. As a result of a dialogue and a site visit with the private owner, the sale of the palace and park is planned.
