Palaces and manor houses in Wielkopolska: Cichowo
Cichowo is a village in the powiat kościański in the Wielkopolska voivodeship. In the village there is a charming manor house from the early 20th century. The manor was bought in 1898 by Polish general Mieczysław Bukowiecki, who had the house built in 1908 in neo-baroque style. The architect of the one-story manor house with five axes was Roger Sławski. Bukowiecki spent his last years at Cichowo Manor, where he died in December 1931.
The manor house, which is in need of renovation, has been vacant for several years and is situated in a beautiful lakeside location on the Jezioro Cichowo.
In 2021, the manor, park and the nearly 100-acre lakefront property in Cichowo is offered for sale.
