The Radolińskich Manor in Zborów near Kalisz is a gem in the Greater Poland Voivodeship and today stands as a unique private residence. Constructed by Wlodzimierz Radolinski, the neoclassical manor from the mid-19th century features a substantial four-column portico and was later expanded by Witold Garczyński with a southwest annex and a front colonnade. After 1945, the property was fragmented, looted, and its owners displaced.
Descendants of the family acquired the property over a decade ago in a dilapidated state. Following careful consideration and overcoming numerous obstacles, the decision to renovate the house was made. Alongside the extensive renovation, fragmented parts of the former estate park were reacquired by the owners, restoring the original estate park. Today, the estate stands in impeccable condition, serving exclusively as a private residence.
The palace encompasses a total area of 2,000 square meters and boasts spacious interiors authentically restored yet equipped with cutting-edge technology. Acquiring this property means acquiring underfloor heating, heat pump heating, and low maintenance costs.
Carefully and meticulously restored interiors from the mid-19th century are evident. An exceptional stucco decoration, selection of paintings, chandeliers, and antiques transport one back to historic spaces from the heyday of the court. The ground floor houses a representative entrance hall, a fireplace room, a billiard room, a cinema, a kitchen with a dining room, among other spaces. Notably, there is an air-conditioned ballroom with garden access.
The upper floor hosts two independent two-story apartments with kitchens and large terraces, along with a bedroom with a bathroom. In the basement, beautifully restored rooms include a gym, a wine cellar, and a heating system with five heat pumps allowing for cost-efficient operation akin to a small family home.
A high wall surrounds the video-monitored property, ensuring absolute privacy. The park, featuring numerous natural monuments, a pond, and a fountain, spans nearly 10 hectares. A unique feature of this property is its private helicopter landing pad.
AWARD-WINNING RESTORATION
In 2010, this project was honored as the winner of the nationwide competition "Modernization of the Year." The owners received a special award for the protection of the national cultural heritage during a ceremonial gala at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.
