Palaces in Lublin: Pałac w Niezdowie
Niezdów is a small village in the Polish Lublin Voivodeship. The village is located a few km south of the famous artists' town Kazimierz Dolny and about 60 km southwest of the city of the same name Lublin. Worth seeing is a palace built in 1785 for Aleksander Lubomirski. The Lubomirski family belonged to the most important noble families in Poland. Numerous palaces and residences of the family are still preserved, especially in Mazovia and Lublin.
The design of the neoclassical building goes back to Domenico Merlini, who was involved in many similar buildings as a court architect. He is best known for the design of the Łazienki Park in Warsaw.
A magnificent ballroom is preserved on the second floor, but it is currently not open to the public (2020).
