The nationally known medieval castle Veynau is looking for a new owner.
To get you in the mood, here is a brief outline of the eventful life of this property:
Around 1340, the complex, which was founded as a moated castle, was expanded into a strong fortress. A short time later it passed into Jülish possession and became part of the Jülish castle belt around Euskirchen.
In the middle of the 15th century, the fortress was largely rebuilt to its present appearance. It was severely damaged during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648) and a fire at the beginning of the 18th century necessitated a rebuilding. In the beginning of the modern times the castle lost its real meaning and stood empty for a long time.
It was not until after the Second World War that it was rebuilt by various owners and in 1988, with the support of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, it was extensively restored by the current owner family.
During this period, an estimated amount of more than € 4 million was invested and renovation and extension work has also been carried out recently. For example, some of the numerous WC and bathroom facilities have been modernized. However, much work is still awaiting completion.
The condition is therefore exceptionally good, but a future owner of the castle should be willing to continue to invest in its upkeep on an ongoing basis. The property is video monitored and equipped with an alarm system.
A solvent lover is now being sought to bring new life back into this unique estate. The potential is enormous and the possibilities are extraordinarily varied.
Thus would be possible, in each case under consultation of the monument protection authority, not only a pure residential use but also a commercial use corresponding to the object.
Conceivable, for example, is a seminar facility or a representative company headquarters. I am curious about your idea.

Very beautiful, idyllic and exceptionally quiet location in 53881 Euskirchen-Wißkirchen. An absolute and irretrievable solitary location. In Euskirchen, about 5 minutes drive away, you will find an excellently developed infrastructure.
Also supra-regionally you are ideally connected via the freeway connection to the A 1, which can be reached in a few minutes by car.
