In the northern part of Rügen, near Cape Arkona, lies the village Schwarbe, part of Altenkirchen. Only about 800 m separate it from the Baltic Sea. Originally a supply estate of Hiddensee Monastery from 1205, it became a ducal domain after secularization in 1572. The estate, originally built around 1800, underwent extensions, including a two-story addition in 1867.

Today, the house is a shell, characterized by half-timbered structures. The approximately 5,000-square-meter property includes old fruit trees and extends to the fieldstone wall of the former estate park. It offers views up to the Cape Arkona lighthouse. Utilities are available.
