Manor in Nadarzyn
Castles and country mansions in Pomerania: Nadarzyn
The village of Nadarzyn is located about 10 km southwest of the city of Choszczno in West Pomerania (Zachodniopomorskie) and lies in the western area of the Pomeranian Lake District.Part of the Saxon noble family Billerbeck spread in the late Middle Ages through Mecklenburg and the Mark Brandenburg to Pomerania and flourished there until the 17th century. The Billerbeck family was the first owner of today's settlement Nadarzyn, therefore the place kept this name until 1945.
In the 18th century Billerbeck became a manor village. It was not until the beginning of the 20th century that landowner August Schulze had the present representative castle built in neogothic style. The building shows a T-shaped ground plan. At the back there is a large ballroom, which was divided after 1945. Until the beginning of the 2010-ies, residential units were rented in the manor house. The rooms were only slightly changed and reconstructed in the course of post-war use, so that the representative interior architecture has been preserved to this day.
In 2014, the vacant Nadarzyn manor was put up for sale and is now privately owned.
