On the banks of the Ticino River in the municipality of Golasecca (Piedmont), on a hidden plot of land, there is an interesting example of an upper-class residence of the late 19th century.
It combines elements of the Liberty style with classical and late Romanesque reminiscences. The villa is flanked by two annex buildings and is located a few kilometers from the southern end of Lake Maggiore and a short distance from Milan Malpensa International Airport.
Interior of the villa

Particularly valuable are the original finishes of the time, especially a scenographic marble staircase, which receives a special light incidence through church-like stained glass windows in different shapes. From here you can reach the second floor with the sleeping area and its four double bedrooms, four bathrooms and two 2 single bedrooms. On the mezzanine floor there is a laundry room and a bathroom. On the second floor is the open attic.
From the tower of the villa there is a great view over the Lombard and Piedmont plains to Monte Rosa.
Garden and surroundings
The property includes 13,500 square meters of woods and a large garden area of about 3,100 square meters - here are valuable tree species such as ancient pines, native and Japanese magnolias, camellias, bamboos and various azaleas. The sloping forest overlooks the Ticino River. In 2010, all roofs of all buildings were renewed.
Tax relief for renovation
The villa is in need of renovation, but in a better condition than the two associated outbuildings. In particular, the plumbing, bathrooms, kitchen and windows are in need of renewal. The other two properties would need complete restoration. Thanks to a special program adopted by the Italian government, it is possible to obtain a 50% renovation deduction up to an amount of € 96,000. In addition, a 65% bonus can be used for energy efficiency measures carried out, the installation of photovoltaic systems and columns for charging electric vehicles.
