Manor in Pacółtowo, Warmia-Masuria
Pałac w Pacółtowie, 14-107 Pacółtowo
The manor house in Warmia south of the city of Ostróda is now called Pałac w Pacółtowie, until 1945 the former country estate was called "Groß Pötzdorf". The first representative manor was built at the end of the 18th century, originally a classicist building, which was renewed in neo-baroque style at the beginning of the 20th century.
Situated on a hill, the building dominates the village with its facade divided by pilasters and two prominent corner towers. From 1830 to 1945 the estate was managed by the von Brandt family, who also had the new neo-baroque residence erected. Until the end of the 1980s, it still housed the last living quarters of the former state farm, after which it stood empty for over 10 years and fell into disrepair. Today, the historic property and outbuildings have been carefully renovated, the park was completly restored. In 2020, a small hotel was located here.
Only a few meters to the east there is a private airfield for small aircrafts.
