Manor in Żegocin
Pałac w Żegocinie, Żegocin
Countless smaller and larger manor houses are spread throughout today's Wielkopolska Voivodeship around its capital Poznan. A particularly beautiful example is hidden north of the small town of Pleszew: the palace in Żegociń is a late Baroque manor house from the end of the 18th century, originally a small plastered brick building, which was significantly upgraded in the mid-19th century with a portico and two-story side wings.
The manor, which had been abandoned for a long time, was offered for sale in 2020 on realportico.com and quite quickly found new owners from the region: A young family wants to revive the old mansion and build a cultural center there.
Until the renovation begins, the new owners will make the house available for events of all kinds. Requests for this can be directed via their Facebook page, where the progress of the project is also regularly documented: Join Pałac Żegocin on Facebook.
